Nantucket’s Daffodil Festival

A little recap of one of the island’s most “Hallmark Movie” moments. At the end of April every year the island of Nantucket turns yellow! Main Street shuts down to parade classic cars decorated in florals, yellow or island celebratory moments- ships, puppies, rosé and more! Once everyone is gathered and had a chance to stroll between the lanes on Main Street to admire the antique vehicles, the cars start their engines and travel along Milestone Rd to park in ‘Sconset for a community picnic. Yes, that’s right, Milestone Rd in Sconset shuts down for islanders and their guests to stroll under the trees, share treats & drinks with their friends and neighbors.

After a long, extra snowy winter celebrating Spring was extra special this year.

This year, we had just arrived back on Nantucket after a wonderful April vacation so we kept our picnic easy with a Lemon Press mezze platter spread. It was perfect for our group and the delicious, low maintenance lunch we needed!
