Magnolia Affairs was created by Karina Crockett. Starting out in non-Profit event planning, Karina made the move from NH to South Carolina south with her hubby to pursue wedding planning. As one of the top destination Islands, Hilton Head was a natural fit! She is in love with the South Carolina low country and natural beauty that surrounds her- from the live oaks dripping with Spanish moss to the Southern coast line. THEN an unexpected adventure arose and her hubby got offered his dream job which brought them to Nantucket, MA. She now services both beautiful islands and the surrounding areas! We plan weddings throughout all of New England and the lowcountry!
Originally from New Hampshire, Karina moved south to be surround by her three loves: warm weather, live oaks and she crab soup before life brought her back up north to Nantucket! She graduated from Rivier University with a Degree in Communications specializing in business management and special events. The first events she planned were fundraising events for non-profit companies including The Music Hall of Portsmouth and The West Central Behavioral Health association. After assisting in the planning many of her friends and family members with their own weddings she decided to move to Hilton Head and pursue her love of wedding planning! After coordinating multiple weddings through a local catering company she decided to create a company that focused on in-depth personalization of the couples wedding! When she is not working she loves exploring the areas- usually on a boat or driving along the beaches of Nantucket! She currently splits her time between Nantucket and Hilton Head with her hubby and their 2 fur-children, Bandit and Brady.
