At Magnolia Affairs, we believe your wedding planning journey should be just as magical as your big day. When you work with us, you’ll collaborate directly with Karina, the owner, who will guide you through every step of the planning process with expertise, creativity, and a passion for bringing your vision to life. We take a team-oriented, collaborative approach, working closely with all of your wedding vendors to ensure a seamless experience. On weekends we don’t have our own weddings, you can often find us assisting other vendors—including florists and photographers—which gives us a deeper understanding of their needs and helps us create a more cohesive event. When the wedding weekend arrives, our dedicated team of wedding day assistants will join me onsite to flawlessly execute every detail, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the joy of your celebration. We believe the best weddings happen when everyone works together, and we are honored to be part of your unforgettable journey.


Meet Karina Crockett, a wedding planner originally from New Hampshire, with a wealth of experience in crafting unforgettable weddings across the East Coast including New Hampshire, Georgia, Maine, and Massachusetts. Karina holds a degree in Communications, with a specialization in business management and special events from Rivier University. She began her career organizing fundraising events for non-profit organizations, which ignited her passion for event planning. After helping countless friends and family plan weddings. she moved to Hilton Head to pursue wedding planning full-time. After working for a venue and catering company for a few years she started Magnolia Affairs in 2018 planning weddings in South Carolina's beautiful Low Country with the goal of focusing on the details to reflect the couples love story. When her husband’s dream job brought them to Nantucket, Karina instantly fell in love with the charm of the island and began crafting memorable celebrations there.
With a strong background in catering and venue management, Karina creates personalized, seamless wedding experiences that bring couples' visions to life. She’s especially skilled at diving into the details that make each event unique, from designing custom backdrops to adding special touches like a hidden Mickey for a couple who met at Disney.
When she’s not busy planning weddings, Karina enjoys exploring Nantucket's beautiful coastline — often by boat or driving out to Great Point. She and her family welcomed baby Zoey to their lives in June 2024, and she’s already a little Nantucket islander, loving the water, the waves, and hanging out at Cisco.
