The dusty blue and gray color pallet could not be more appropriate for an early, breezy spring day at the Pelham House Resort. Located on the Nantucket sound side of Cape Cod the resort offers uninterrupted ocean views and one of the Cape's newest wedding venues. Previously, weddings at the resort had to be tented but their brand new, fully enclosed luxury venue has taken the tents place.
What I love about the Pelham House:
The ballroom! First, it is in its own building which means its super easy for guests to find and there is so much space!
The first floor is the open ballroom with hardwood floors (no carpet!) Its a planner's dream come true. The second floor is a bar area and porch which is perfect for cocktail hour and also acts as a covered ceremony back up option in the case of rain (shhh.. we didn't say it but we do have to plan for it!)
Its a "full buy out" which mean PRIVACY! You and your guests get exclusive access to the hotel and property. A private poolside welcome party? Rehearsal dinner on the lawn? Beach bonfire? It's all yours. They also only host one wedding a weekend which means you really get to enjoy the full wedding weekend experience.
The Lawn is the perfect ceremony spot! Do you want ocean views without getting all sandy? The Pelham House is your spot!
The onsite chef can also create a wonderful wedding menu for you! How delish does this sample menu sound (I picked some of my favs!)

I got together with some of the Cape's wonderful wedding vendors to create a day that illustrates how wonderful a wedding at the Pelham House Resort would be! I hope you enjoy, we sure did!
Getting Ready:
There is a getting ready suite in the same building as the ballroom! It is huge, has multiple mirrors, a restroom and lots of light!
The Ceremony:
It was a little breezy which made for great photos but not the best ceremony conditions. We decided to showcase the rain (or wind) back up location which is the second floor deck. The panel glass side walls blocked the wind and we had a perfect ceremony location!
The Reception details:
A grand staircase, a fire place and a beautiful room! We added some specialty linens, beautiful florals and a cotton candy cart. YES, a cotton candy cart!
The beach:
The lawn, beach and jetty make for some wonderful photo locations. So, SO many photo locations! That pesky wind I mentioned earlier was actually perfect for some great photos of this flowy, sexy dress. Speaking of the dress... who says you have to wear white on your wedding... no one!
Thank you to the entire wedding vendor team involved in creating this magical day!
