How far in advance do you need to start planning a wedding on Nantucket?
On average I work with most of my couples for 15 months. Ive planned full wedding weekends in less than 3 months before. Ive booked with multiple couples 18 months prior. Couples who wish to book a more exclusive venue have also booked before they were technically engaged- it just depends on what you want and how flexible you want to be.
What is the average budget of a Nantucket wedding?
Wedding budgets are determined by a number of things including guest count, vision and number of events. Due to this, we don't have a set minimum spend but we can share a few details to give some guidance. In 2026 most budgets ranged from $350,000-$750,000 with larger, multi-event weekends (200+ guests, private estates, or elaborate production) weddings extending beyond this range.
What are the most popular times to get married on Nantucket?
The wedding season on Nantucket is June, September and early October. Many of the clubs do not offer weddings in July and August to focus on Member Events. Many of the hotels require a full buy out in July and August to host a wedding. A private home wedding is possible in July and August if the home is within your family & friend’s circle. Many rental homes that allow weddings require a Saturday-Saturday or Sunday-Sunday rental in July and August so for a weekend wedding you would need to rent for 2 weeks.
Are there a lot of wedding vendors on the island?
Yes! There are a lot of wedding vendors who live on the island, either year-round or for the majority of the year! There are some vendors we may need to source from off island but we try to work with on island vendors whenever possible. We have tent companies, caterers, photographers, videographers, florists and musicians who are all based on Nantucket.
We are considering a Nantucket wedding, can you help us?
Yes! I offer complimentary introduction & consultation calls. We discuss your vision, expectations and budget ideas and make sure those are all aligned. I HIGHLY recommend doing this before you book your venue! Even if you do not end up booking with me, I would rather point you in the right direction so you start your wedding planning journey off right!
